Sebuah bra, ditemukan di penyimpanan di Museum Science, di London, diyakini menjadi penutup payudara pertama, yang dirancang untuk memberikan patung wanita yang lebih indah dengan cara yang sama sebagai Wonderbra modern.

Bra tidak menjadi biasa sampai 1907, ketika ditampilkan dalam Vogue. Sampai saat itu, itu akan menjadi barang mewah hanya tersedia untuk wanita kaya. Celana dalam merupakan bagian dari koleksi dipajang di lemari kaca yang berisi berbagai perangkat kosmetik abad ke-19.
