Seperti dilansir Daily Mail, Rabu 23 Maret 2011, lebih dari 80 pembuat kue di Inggris mempersembahkan kue karyanya untuk pernikahan sang pangeran. Namun kue hasil dekorasi Michelle Wibowo yang akhirnya dipilih untuk hari spesial William dan Kate.

Kue buatan perempuan yang kini berdomisili di Burgess Hill, West Sussex, Inggris itu menampilkan bentuk wajah William dan Kate yang terlihat seperti tiga dimensi. Kue tersebut mendapat predikat sebagai Ideal Home Cake Decorator of the Year dari sebuah kompetisi bernama Ideal Home Show yang diadakan di London Earls Court, Inggris.

Michelle Wibowo, perempuan berusia 33 tahun itu sebenarnya merupakan lulusan Arsitektur Universitas Parahyangan. Namun pada 2001 lalu ia mengambil kursus mendekorasi kue di BTEC Course in Baking Science.

Pada 2007 lalu, Michelle mendirikan perusahaan di bidang kuliner bernama Michelle Sugar Art Limited. Menurut keterangan dari situs pribadinya, pada kurun waktu 2002 hingga 2005, Michelle telah mengasah kemampuannya untuk membuat dan mendekorasi kue di berbagai toko di London.

Pada Januari 2007, ia memenangkan 2 medali emas dari Salon Culinaire Hospitality Show atas kue karyanya, 'Chinese Dragon' dan 'Mermaid on A Rock'. (sumber: detikhot.com)
